Joyce C. Johns

Joyce C. Johns, 91, of Bethlehem, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023, at St. Lukes Hospital in Fountain Hill.

Born on July 7, 1931, in Plymouth, PA, she was a daughter of the late George and Kathleen (Allabaugh) Morgan.

A graduate of Plymouth High Schools Class of 1949, Joyce went on to co-own and operate, with her husband, Joy-Als Restaurant and Al Johns and Son Sanitation.

Outside of work, she found joy in bingo, Tricky Trays, and family gatherings. Her family played a big role in her life.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Albert Johns, who passed away in 2000.

Joyce will be lovingly remembered by her daughters: Sheree Dancho, Joyal Henritzy, Georgia Keim, and her granddaughter whom she raised as a daughter: Melissa Phillips (John); son: Albert Johns, Jr.; grandchildren: Stephanie Robbins (Troy), Stacy Hutchinson (Colin), Brandon Henritzy (Nicole), Tiffany Lengyel (David), Alicia Boice, and Albert Johns, III; sixteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; her sister: Shirley Jones; and many nieces in nephews.

A viewing will be held at the Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 East Broad Street, Bethlehem, PA, on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. A second viewing will begin at 10:00am on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, until the time of the funeral service at 11:00am, at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Bethlehem Memorial Park, Linden Street, Bethlehem.
