Juana Rivera

Juana "Carmen" LaLa" Vazquez Rivera, 87 , of Bethlehem, died on Monday, November 7, 2011 at Manor Care Health Services I in Bethlehem. Carmen was born in Corozal, Puerto Rico and was the daughter of the late Gregorio Vazquez and Juana Fuentes. She is the wife of Ismael "Charlie" Rivera of Bethlehem Township, PA. They celebrated their 64th anniversary this past March.

Carmen worked for the Bethlehem Togs and in the garment industry retiring in 1986 with over 20 years of service. She was a member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Carmen will be lovingly remembered by her husband Ismael Rivera, son Izzy Rivera and his wife Myrna of Bethlehem, daughter Ida Rivera and granddaughter Dr. Monica Rivera and three sisters in Puerto Rico.

Carmen is predeceased by her parents and three brothers and one sister.

Visitation will be at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Thursday, November 10, 2011 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Infancy Catholic Church, 312 East Fourth St., Bethlehem, PA 18015 on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 10:00 AM.
