Jude S. Panik

Jude S. Panik, 69, of Bethlehem died May 31st. Born October 16, 1944 in Bethlehem he was the son of the late Andrew and Anna (Lisicky) Panik. He was married to Anne Panik with whom he celebrated 44 years of marriage this past December 6th.

Mr. Panik worked and retired from Wells Fargo in the collections and automotive finance departments. He graduated from Moravian College with a bachelors degree and from the University of Phoenix with a Masters in Public Administration. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam receiving a Commendation Medal and served as an intelligence officer for the Central Intelligence Agency. Mr. Panik was a member of the American Legion, G.B.S.L. where he held many positions, Knights of Columbus and St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Catholic Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. He was just recently inducted into the Lehigh Valley Sports Hall of Fame in 2013 for wrestling and football. Mr. Panik was also just elected as a Republican City Committee Member.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, sons, Gregory J. Panik and Wife Joan of Wilmington, DE and Jonathan A. Panik and wife Meredith, Ph.D of Bernardsville, NJ, brother, Alex Panik of Tampa, FL and grandchildren, Audrey, Reagan, Graham, Jillian and Jack. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Andrew, Joseph and Thomas Panik and a sister, Susan Serfecz.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 6-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus 1408 Easton Rd., Hellertown, PA 18055 at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethlehem.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Paniks name to the American Heart Association 968 Postal Rd. Allentown, PA 18109 or to the St. Vincent DePaul Society c/o St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Catholic Church.
