Judith A. Sullivan

Judith "Judy" A. Sullivan, 64, of Bethlehem died Sunday, January 6, 2008 at Easton Nursing Center.

Born January 23, 1943 in Allentown she was the daughter of John F. Szabo and the late Effiey E. Pheleps.

Judy was a registered nurse and also taught nursing for five years in Connecticut. She has earned degrees from St. Luke's Nursing School, the University of Bridgeport and Hunter College in New York. Judy was an active member of Connecticut Nurse's Association, where she was instrumental in setting up the Connecticut Nurse's Foundation and served as its president. She was also involved with Rotary International. She was the first female President of Ridgefield Connecticut Rotary and then became a member of Bethlehem Rotary. In her free time Judy enjoyed skiing and volunteering her time to various local events.

She is survived by her father, John F. Szabo, sons; John P. Sullivan and Brian E. Sullivan, daughter-in-law, Heather Lehman and the Lehman family. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight associated grandchildren.

SERVICES

Visitation will be at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem on Thursday, January 10, 2008 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Bethlehem Memorial Park, in Bethlehem.
