Judith Ann Maffea

Judith A. Maffea, 69, of Bethlehem, died Tuesday, September 06, 2016 in her home with her family by her side. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Margaret (Havernic) Hancik Moritz and James Hancik. She was the wife of the late Daniel J. Maffea who passed on August 31, 1995, they were married 25 years.

Judy worked and retired from the Bethlehem Vo-Tech after 20 years. She was also a co-owner with her husband of Bethlehem Township Florist. Judy was a lifetime member of the Heights A.A. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Bethlehem Township.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Danielle Maffea, Brian J. Maffea and wife Kerri, Christina A. Maffea-Rader and Danny J. Maffea, brother, Larry Hancik and wife Susan, sister, Margie Daily, step brothers, Gary Moritz and wife Deborah and Bruno Moritz, sisters-in-law, Pam Kramm Moritz and Megan Hancik, grandchildren, Kayla, Scott, Juliana, Aubrey, Gabrielle, Anthony, Meado, Daniel and Joseph and 12 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert and James Hancik, brother-in-law, Dan Daily and stepfather, Bruno Moritz.

A calling hour will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethelehem.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, Office of Development, Shriners Hospital, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607.
