Judith Anne Leach

Judith Anne Leach, 48 , of Bethlehem and formerly of Vieques, PR, died on Sunday, October 22, 2006 at VNA Hospice of St. Luke's in Bethlehem. She was surrounded by family and amazing friends from all over the country. Born on February 25, 1958, at St. Luke?s Hospital, she was the beloved daughter of Victoria "Lala" Leach of Bethlehem and the late Edward P. Leach.

Judy was a graduate of Liberty High School, class of 1976 and of Lake Erie College, Painsville, Ohio, class of 1980 where she attained her degree in Equestrian Arts. She was also a licensed Massage Therapist.

Over the years Judy taught Equestrian Arts in the Lake Erie area as well as in the Lehigh Valley. She managed the Christian Dior cosmetic center at the Macy's in the Lehigh Valley Mall. More recently she was the owner/publisher of "Vieques Events", a monthly publication and also wrote ?Ask Judy? a column at www. enchanted-isle.com, a travel website about Vieques.

Along with her mother, Judy is survived by her loving family; Pat & Rick Penske of Bethlehem, Helen & Dennis Davis of Vieques, Tom Leach of Bethlehem, Dan & Debbye Leach of Sulphur Springs, TX, Joe & Alice Leach of Quakertown, Mike & Robin Leach of Clifton, N.J., and many nieces and nephews.

Judy's heart remained in Vieques while she lived here in Bethlehem during her challenging journey with cancer. Most recently Judy was lovingly cared for by her niece Tori Penske Aitchison, Tori?s husband Kent and their 2 boys, David & Matthew.

A Memorial Service will be held at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 5:30 PM.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM.
