Julia A. Bacak, 98, of Freemansburg, passed away on May 11, 2020 at Hidden Meadows on the Ridge, in Sellersville. She was the loving wife of the late George Bacak, Sr. with whom she shared 38 years of marriage. Born in Freemansburg, she was a daughter of the late George and Julia (Balacz) Prander.

Julia was a homemaker most of her life taking care of her mother before she passed. She also worked in manufacturing and retail before she was married. She belonged to Sacred Heart Catholic Church (Bethlehem) and was active in PTA and various other school and musical functions for her children. She loved her family and was friendly to everyone, and loved nature and all living things: flowers, trees, and animals. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and canning various fruits and vegetables that she grew in her gardens. Her hobbies also included sewing and crocheting, as well as crossword puzzles and Sudoku. Although she wasnt an accomplished musician, she loved to sing and play on her player piano with her family.

Julia is survived by her children: her son, George Bacak, Jr. and his wife, Debbi of Sellersville; and daughter Mary Ann Jenkins of Bethlehem. She has five grandchildren (Gregory and Kira Bacak, Walter and Michael Jenkins, and Kathleen Miani) and 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was especially fond of her nieces, Sandra Silvoy and Margaret Snyder (and their husbands, Andrew and Kent, respectively). In addition to her husband, Julia was preceded in death by her sisters: Catherine, Mary, Juli, and Rose; and her brothers: Geza and James.
