Julia Kovach

Julia Kovach, 88, died on Sunday, January 30, 2011.

She was born in Claremont, VA; the daughter of the late Nicholas and Julia Garich Ziyacz.

Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Kovach.

She worked at various occupations but primarily dedicated her life to her family.

Julia was a member of Ss Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Bethlehem, where she helped in making pierogies for over 30 years. She was a former officer of the Matrons Club of the YWCA. Since 1986, Julia volunteered 2000 hours with the Keystone Miller Blood Bank.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Helen Bachochin of Lower Saucon Twp. and her son, Joseph Kovach of Bethlehem as well as her sister, Mary Jones of Virginia; three granddaughters, Paula, Catherine and Marcia and six great-grandchildren.

A Viewing will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2011 from 6 to 8 PM and again on Friday, February 4, 2011 from 9-9:15 AM with Panachida at 9:15 AM all at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018

Office of Christian Burial with Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10 AM on Friday, February 4, 2011 at Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church 1140 Johnston Dr. Bethlehem, PA 18017.

Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her church.
