Julia Kuzmin, 86, of Bethlehem, died on Monday, November 23, 2009 at the Hospice House of the VNA of St. Luke's.

She was born August 29, 1923 in Cementon, the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Demko Barner.

Julia is survived by her husband of 43 years, Michael Kuzmin of Bethlehem.

She retired in 1981 after 35 years of service as a sewing machine operator for a few Bethlehem factories and was a member of the I.L.G.W.U.

Julia was a parishioner of Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church Bethlehem where she was a member of the St. Simon Seniors and had served as program coordinator.

Julia also volunteered at Holy Family Manor.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Michael; sons, Ronald J. Kozo and his wife Rita of Coopersburg and Charles T. Kozo and his wife Rosemarie of South Whitehall Twp. as well as her three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Julia was preceded in death by her first husband Charles Kozo; her sisters, Mary Yaromy, Kathrine Ruszin Helen Gollatz, Ann Szabo and Sophie Barner and her brothers, John and Andrew Barner.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 from 6:30-8:30 PM at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem and again on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 from 12- 12:30 PM at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 1 PM at Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church 730 W. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018.

Interment will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
