Julia Marrero

Julia Marrero, 80, of Bethlehem, died Thursday, January 25, 2007 in her home. Born February 26, 1926 in Centralia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Catherine Masinick Chichersky. Julia worked for the Plant Patrol at Bethlehem Steel and at one time, owned and operated Chicks Hotel in South Bethlehem. She was a very caring and giving person who loved her family and her church. She attended mass regularly at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bethlehem Twp.

Julia will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Michele Horon of Bethlehem, with whom she resided, Katrine Miles and her husband Fred of Bethlehem; son, Michael J. Horon and his wife Margaret of Slatington; a brother, Walter Chichersky of Bethlehem who resided with her. She had five grandchildren, Jeremy & Nickolas Miles and Sunset, Zacharia & Serenity Horon and a great-granddaughter, Emily Ann Miles as well as several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by, her twin sister, Marie Mihalakis, former husband, Pedro J. Marrero, brother, John Chichersky and two sisters, Josephine Unangst and Helen Foldes.

Services: Visitation will be on Sunday, January 28, 2007 from 2-5 p.m. and Monday January 29, 2007 from 8:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem. A Panachida Service will be held at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by an Office of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Josaphat's Catholic Church.

Burial will be at St. Josaphat's Cemetery, in Bethlehem.
