Julia Nieves

Julia Nieves, 87 , formerly of 1317 Hilton St., Bethlehem,

died on Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at Old Orchard Manor Care Health Services in Easton. Born on August 12, 1920, in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, she was the

daughter of the late Irene Nieves and Emelia Pagan.

Julia was a member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church, Bethlehem, and the Beneficial Puerto Rican Club, where she had served on the Women?s Committee.

She is survived by:

Daughter- Marilu Compardo & her husband Darrell of Nazareth,

Son-Luis Nieves & his wife Juliana of Puerto Rico,

Sister ? Estebania Nieves of Humacao, Puerto Rico

Long time Companion-Juan Berrios of Easton,

And 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren

She was predeceased by a son Aldaberto "Papo" Tirado in 2006 and a granddaughter Carmen Julia Nieves, who she raised.

Visitation will be at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. on Saturday, September 15, 2007 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM. Funeral services will begin at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. on Saturday at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Infancy Catholic Church at 10:00 AM
