Julia Ortiz

Julia Ortiz, 76, of Bethlehem, died on Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at her residence.

She was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico; the daughter of the late Bonifacio and Marcelina Torres Curet. Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Angel M. Ortiz on April 24, 2002.

Julia worked as a Presser for the former Forte Tie Co. and later for Moravian Academy in the Maintenance Dept.

She will be lovingly remembered by her family, daughter Myrna I. wife of William Vazquez and son Edward Ortiz all of Bethlehem. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, William, Jr. Vanessa and Edward Jr. Julia was predeceased by her brothers, Julio, Luis, Felix and Carmelo.

She will be remembered as a gentle, caring and loving mother, grandmother and friend.

A visitation will be held on Friday November 2, 2007 at Connell Funeral Home, Inc 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem from 7-9 PM and again on Saturday November 3, 2007 from

8-9:15 AM in the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday November 3, 2007 at Holy Infancy Catholic Church 312 E. 4th St. Bethlehem. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
