Julia Zelasko

Julia (Bolash) Zelasko, 98, of Nazareth, formerly of Bethlehem Township, PA died Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Gracedale Nursing Home in Nazareth. Born November 9, 1914 in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lydia (Zamolyi) Bolash. She was married to the late Joseph B. Zelasko.

Julia worked for the former Laros Printing in the shipping department for 15 years. She also worked for over 25 years and retired from the former Trio Togs. She was an active member of the Zion First Hungarian Lutheran Church in Bethlehem and the ILGWU. Julia was a good cook and baker of Hungarian foods, especially her apple fritters.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lydia A. Bednarik and husband Matthew, brother, Frank Bolash, sister, Anna Fromhartz and daughter in law, Susan Zelasko. She will also be remembered by her five grandchildren, Jeff, Chris, Todd, Joe and Tony and three great grandchildren, Daniel, Olivia and Sophia.

Julia was preceded in death by her son, Joseph S. Zelasko, brothers, James, Joseph, Steven, Alex and Louis Bolash and sisters, Margaret Gillespie, Ida Salvage and Irene Bolash.

SERVICES

A viewing will be held on Friday, May 17, 2013 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 9:30-10:30 AM followed by a service at 10:30 AM. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethlehem.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Julia's name to the Zion First Hungarian Lutheran Church 938 E. 4th St., Bethlehem, PA 18015.
