Julius J. Velekei

Julius J. ?Ben? Velekei Sr., 90, of Bethlehem Twp. died Thursday August 24, 2006 at the Village at Palmerton , Palmerton, Pa. He was born on February 13, 1916 in Northampton son of the late John and Theresa Wolfinger Velekei.

He was the husband of Mary Romanick Velekei. . On August 3rd, 2006. they celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary.

Ben worked for Bethlehem Steel for 42 yrs. Retiring in 1978. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.He was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Bethlehem Twp.

He will be lovingly rememberd by his wife, sons- Robert J. Velekei of Reading, Julius J. Velekei Jr. of Easton, daughter- Judith A. Merkel wife of Edward of Palmerton., brother- Emil Velekei of Palmer Twp. 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren

He was predeceased by a son Thomas P. Velekei.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM Saturday August 26, 2006 at Sacred Heart Church 1st Street in Bethlehem Twp., Pa. No calling hours.

Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery
