Katherine E. Tomko

Katherine ?Kitty? Tomko, 82, left this world peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, October 7. She was the loving wife of Frank J. Tomko Sr . They celebrated 59 years of marriage on June 19.

Born in Bethlehem, PA September 7, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna Fecko Yurasek. She was a graduate of St. Cyril Academy in Danville, PA. She was previously employed at the Bethlehem Steel Plant Office, East Lehigh Division, and Hauser Chevrolet Sales Office. She was an active, dedicated member of St. Anne?s Catholic Church, Bethlehem, PA for over 50 years.

Kitty especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grand children. Her favorite pastime was sitting on the back porch swing with her devoted husband Frank. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Frank, daughter Elaine K. Whitesel and her husband Samuel of Alexandria, PA, and son Frank J Tomko Jr. and his wife Stephanie of Bethlehem Township. Grandchildren: Michelle Tomko Wetterling, Emily Whitesel Allison, Frank J. Tomko III and Laura Whitesel. Two Great Grandsons: Noah Allison and Justin Wetterling.

Sisters: Sophie Krise and Irene Vasko of Bethlehem, and Gertrude Kovach of Hellertown. She was predeceased by sisters Mary, Anna, Margaret, and two infant brothers, Andrew and John

A viewing will be held Thursday October 11, 2007 at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, From 8:30-10:30 AM. A service will be held at 10:30 AM in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anne?s Catholic Church 450 Washington Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18017 at 11:00 AM.
