Kathleen M. Solito

Kathleen M. Solito, 91, of Bethlehem, PA died Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Holy Family Manor in Bethlehem. Born June 4, 1923 in Brooklyn, NY she was the daughter of the late Catherine (Smith) and Harry McElderry. She was the wife of the late Lewis T. Solito.

Kathleen was a 1942 graduate of Allentown Business College. She worked for the Bethlehem Area School District as an Administrative Assistant and Treasurer in the business office. Kathleen also volunteered her time with the Miller Memorial Blood Center and at Muhlenberg Hospital Center. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Bethlehem Township.

Kathleen will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Anthony Solito and wife Barbara, Michael Solito and wife Deborah and David Solito and wife Desiree, nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Marie Glagola and brother, Henry McElderry. The family would also like to thank her caregivers Elizabeth Derr and Fran Miesegaes.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 7-9 PM and again on Friday from 10-11 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help 3219 Santee Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18020 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethlehem.
