Kathryn Dolores Hammond

Kathryn Dolores Gaal Hammond, age, 87-Beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed suddenly into the presence of the Lord due to a heart attack on Thursday, July 5, 2007 in the city of Bethlehem.

Born in Bethlehem on December 21, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Andrew J. and Mary M. Stenger Gaal. She was married on January 27, 1941 to the late Milton T. Hammond who died on May 20, 1987 after 46 years of marriage. A brother James B. died in 1997.

She was educated in the Catholic faith attending Sts. Cyril and Methodious Church. Later she attended Emmanuel E. C. Church.

Suvivors are her four children; daughter, Jean Hammond Rothert and husband Robert, Charlotte, NC; sons; Rev. Donald T. and wife Nancy Sule Hammond, Twin Falls , ID, Rev. Gary J. Hammond, Bethlehem and Robert J. and wife Shirely Remaley Hammond Emmaus. She was blessed with eleven grandchildren; Chad H. and Laura Wood Rothert, Charlotte, NC, Marni S. Rothert, Charlotte, NC, Jack J. and Kim Wertman Hammond, Chesterton, Ind. Sherrie L. Hammond, Emmaus, Jason T. Hammond, Seattle, WA, Mary Catharine Hammond and Ken Clouse, Glenolden, PA, Thomas A. and Sarah Meleta Hammond, Catasauqua, Neil S. Hammond, Honolulu, HI, Jean Michelle Hammond and Jamey Deubler, Davenport, FL, Philip E. Hammond and fianc Ann Stuber, Bethlehem Township and Anne E. Hammond, Emmaus. There are eight great grand children: Tiana M., Tyler J., and Trevor N. Hammond, Bayley A., Brianna M. and Jamey Jr. Deubler, Andrew N. Clouse and Eathan P. Hammond Two nephews, Gregory and James Gaal, Bethlehem and several cousins. Including George Stenger. Also, loyal friend and companion Bob Rogers of Phillipsburg, NJ.

Services: A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at 1:30 PM at the Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem. Viewing will be

Tuesday, July10, 2007 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM in the funeral home.

Burial will be at Bethlehem Memorial Park, Bethlehem.
