Kathryn M. Kelleher

Kathryn M. Kelleher, of Bethlehem, died on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at the age of 91. She was married to the late John J. "Jack" Kelleher, who died in 1959. They were married in 1952.

She was born on September 5, 1919, to the late Albert L. Aldinger and the late Kathryn M. Trimble Aldinger of Bethlehem. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Albert J. Aldinger, who died in April 2010.

Mrs. Kelleher worked in the Billing Department of the Bethlehem Steel before her marriage. She later worked as a receptionist for the late Dr. Wilfred E. Vogler of Bethlehem.

From 1967 until her retirement in 2001, Mrs. Kelleher served as a Court Matron in the Northampton County Courts. In that capacity, she assisted the Judges of the County, attorneys and clients, as well as adoptive parents and their children. She was gracious and helpful to everyone she met, and was always ready to provide assistance in any way she could. As a result, her circle of friends grew ever larger and anyone she met could not help but be impressed with her warmth and grace. She will be missed by many.

Mrs. Kelleher is survived by her sister, Helen A. Ambrose and her husband Michael E. Ambrose of Bethlehem. She is also survived by her sons, Kevin J. Kelleher and his wife Bonnie Kelleher of Bethlehem and John J. Kelleher, Jr. and his wife Susan Kelleher of Hellertown as well as her grandchildren, Patrick K. Kelleher, Kathleen M. Kelleher, Megan B. Kelleher and Morgan G. Kelleher.

Mrs. Kelleher was a parishioner of St. Anne's Catholic Church, Bethlehem. She was also a member of the National Association of Legal Secretaries, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and Saint Bernard's Home of Good Samaritans, Bethlehem.

Calling hours will be held at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem from 6:00 to 8:00 on Monday, April 11, 2011; on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 from 8:00 to 9:30 AM.

Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 450 Washington Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18017 on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 10:00 AM followed by interment at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

The Kelleher family will host a reception immediately following interment.
