Kazimierz Jastrzemski

June 7, 1926 — October 19, 2009

Kazimierz "Kaz" Jastrzemski, 83, of Bethlehem, passed away Monday, October 19, 2009 in his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 7, 1926 in Brodnecza, Poland, son of the late Janak and Juliana Otremba Jastrzemski. He was the husband of the late Helen Bailey Jastrzemski. Kaz was a welder for Bethlehem Fabricators for 30 years retiring in 1981. He was a member of the former St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church, Bethlehem. He was also a member of the Polish Club and served as vice president of the United Veterans. He served in the Polish 2nd Corp and British Army and the 5th Army under Montgomery during World War II.

Survivors: He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Ann B. Miller of Bethlehem; son, Kazimierz J. Jastrzemski of Emmaus; sister, Vera Bulka in Poland; grandchildren, Nathaniel Jastrzemski, Julie Cochrane, Brad Cochrane, Jonah Jastrzemski; two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, Janak, Conrad and Marion, and sisters, Mika, Maria and Margaret.

Services: memorial, will be held 10 a.m. on Friday, October 23, 2009 at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 1900 Pennsylvania Ave., Allentown, 18109. Calling hours will be held from 7-9 p.m. Thursday evening in Connell Funeral Home Inc., 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, 18018 and Friday morning from 9-10 a.m. in the church.
