Kenneth E. Achey, 75, of Bethlehem passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024. Born on September 24, 1948, he was the son of the late Mabel (Sharer) and Elwood H. Achey. For 49 years, he was the loving husband of Deborah J. (Weiner) Achey.

Ken proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army from 1967-1970. He graduated from Liberty High School, class of 1966. He worked many years as a mechanic and more recently as a maintenance man at Black River Winery. Ken loved hunting and fishing alongside his family and his dogs. He was a talented cook who loved sharing his homemade dishes with family and friends. He enjoyed gardening, canning, food shopping and was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Deborah Achey; sisters, Carol Jean Malozzi and Brenda S. Takacs (Stephen); brothers, Barry Achey (Anita), Ronald Achey and Gregory Achey (Linda); nephews, Gary and Matthew Achey along with many other nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024 from 6-8 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
