Laura L. Hudak

Laura L. Hudak, 91, of Allentown, died on May 19, 2022. She was born in Bethlehem on November 4, 1930, daughter of the late Frederick Decker and the late Agnes (Diskanet) Decker Bush. Laura was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Joseph E. Hudak.

Laura will be lovingly remembered for her devotion to her family. She was kind and sweet. Laura lived her life selflessly; always serving others, with a smile on her face. Her cooking during the holidays was certainly a family favorite. Laura enjoyed puzzle books, shopping, and attending craft shows.

Laura worked as a food clerk for a few local companies, including Mohican Market, Sims Market, Gromans Bakery, and the St. Lukes Coffee Shop. She also had the distinction of serving as the first female elevator operator at Orrs Department Store. Laura was a lifetime member of Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church.

Laura will be dearly missed by her daughter, Agnes George and her husband, Robert; granddaughters, Lauren Hnat and companion, William Stankavish, and Colleen Kravelick and husband, Andrew; great grandchildren, William, Robert, Chase, and Hannah; as well as her nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Nancy Ann Ulicny, and brother, Andrew Decker.

Services have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home and will be private.
