Lawrence Frank Herceg

Lawrence Larry Herceg, 85, passed away, Saturday, July 11, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospice House in Bethlehem, PA. He was the loving husband of Rosaria Morganelli Herceg for 62 years. He was a graduate of Moravian College and worked was a computer system analyst for Bethlehem Steel. He retired in 1982. He was a WWII Veteran Proudly serving inn the antiaircraft artillery command and was part of the Normandy Invasion, the Liberation of Paris and the Battle of the Bulge. After retirement, he was elected as the President of the Bethlehem M.O.R.A. club.

He will be sadly missed by his family. His daughter, Loretta and husband Steve Aridgides, reside in Venice, Florida. His granddaughter, Dr. Lynn Lewin and husband, Dr. David Lewin and great-granddaughter, Alison reside in Philadelphia, Pa. His grandson, Mark Aridgides and his wife, Dr. Laura Aridgides and-great grandsons, Steve and Alex, reside in Richmond, Vermont.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Herceg.

Larry was a man of enormous strength, both physically and mentally. He was the center of our family. He was a generous with his love and his warmth, his great smile and incredible sense of humor. He is part of us and will be in our hearts forever. We will never forget him.

A calling periond will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 10-11 AM followed by a service at 11 AM in the funeral home.
