Lawrence J. Mahl, Sr.

Lawrence J Mahl, Sr., 87 , of Bethlehem, PA died on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Manor Care Health Services II in Bethlehem. Lawrence was born in Bethlehem and was the son of the late Frank and Katherine Kronstein Mahl. He is the husband of Elizabeth Walczer Mahl of Bethlehem with whom he celebrated their 62nd anniversary last November.

Lawrence worked for the City of Bethlehem in the maintenance department retiring after 27 years of service. He served in the U.S. Merchant Marines from 1946 to 1948.



Lawrence will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Elizabeth, two sons Randy Mahl and his wife Morgan of Easton, and Lawrence J. Mahl, Jr. and his wife Barbara of Saylorsburg, PA , daughter, Melissa Ashburner and her husband Robert, Jr. of Bethlehem, brother Stephen Mahl of Kintersville, PA, two sisters Katherine Sebastionelli of Bethlehem and Helen Marczyk of Hellertown, PA and five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Friends may call at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church 3219 Santee Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18020 on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 from 9 - 10 AM followed by Mass at 10 AM. Burial following Mass at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
