Lawrence Kmetz

Lawrence Kmetz, 76, of Hanover Township, died Sunday, January 1, 2017 in his home with his family by his side. Born April 11, 1940 in Hazelton, he was the son of the late Sophia and George Kmetz. He was married to Patricia (Timko) Kmetz with whom he celebrated 42 years of marriage this past June 28th.

Lawrence worked for Mack Trucks as a Material Technician retiring after 30 years. He later worked part time as a driver for Bennett Toyota. Lawrence was also a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Bethlehem Township. He served his country in the US Marine Corp. Lawrence was a very active man who loved to travel especially to Las Vegas and Florida for the Philadelphia Phillies Spring Training. He also enjoyed playing golf.

Lawrence will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife, Patricia, son, Joseph Kmetz and wife, June of Allentown, daughter, Yvonne King and husband, Richard of Upper Macungie, grandchildren, Ashley, Anthony, Karly, Colin and Jason and one great grandson, Joshua.

A viewing will be held on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help 3219 Santee Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18020 from 10-11 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Entombment will be at Bethlehem Memorial Park Mausoleum. Arrangements Connell Funeral Home, Inc.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Lawrences name to the American Cancer Society 3893 Adler Place, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
