Lea E. Arnold, Jr.

Lea E. Arnold Jr., 87, a resident of Gracedale formerly of Bethlehem passed away Saturday July 11, 2009 at St. Lukes Hospital in Bethlehem, Pa. He was born on January 4, 1922 in Bethlehem son of the late Lea E. Arnold Sr. and Elsie Hunter Arnold. He was the husband of the late Helen T. Kertsmar Arnold.

Lea worked in all aspects of the business for Moller Wholesale Co. for 43 years retiring in 1996. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in the European Theater during WWII and also served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

Survivors: He will be lovingly remembered by his son, James Arnold of Nazareth, Pa., sister Dorothy Heist of Maryland, nieces, Gail Maerz of New York, and Priscilla Horner wife of Douglas of West Virginia, nephews Gary Maerz and his wife Barbara of New York, and two great nieces and two great nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters Marjorie Maerz and Phoebe E. Arnold.

Services: Will be held 11 a.m. Saturday July 18, 2009 at the Salem Lutheran Church, 531 High St., Bethlehem, Pa. 18018. Calling hours from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
