Leroy C. Bickert

LeRoy C. Bickert, Jr., 68, of Lower Nazareth died Monday, April 2, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. Born in Phillipsburg, NJ he was the son of the late Clara J. (Pierfedeici) and LeRoy C. Bickert. He was married to Kathleen (Gaydos) Bickert with whom he celebrated 41 years of marriage this past March.

LeRoy was a graduate of Phillipsburg Catholic High School. He worked and retired from Hoffman-LaRoche and DSM after 43 years of service. He was a lifetime member of the New Jersey Firemans Association. Leroy was a past member of the Lower Nazareth Lions Club. He served in Lower Nazareth Township on the Parks and Recreation Planning and most recently as a township supervisor.

He enjoyed working on and collecting Volkswagons, and flying remote control planes. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.

LeRoy will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Kathleen, son, Matthew and wife Katherine of Plains, PA, Daughter, Jennifer Chrin and husband, James Chrin of Lower Nazareth, grandchildren, Evan and Annmarie Chrin and Matthew and Katheines child will be arriving in October, and a sister, Ruthann Cardell and husband Thomas.

A viewing will be held on Monday, April 9, 2018 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 6-8 PM and again Tuesday morning from 11 AM- 12PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church 23 Forest Dr., Nazareth, PA 18064 at 1:00 PM. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels of Northampton County 4240 Fritch Dr., Bethlehem, PA 18020 or to the Holy Family Church Capital Campaign.
