Lillian M. Mccarthy

Lillian M. McCarthy, 90, formerly of Bethlehem, died on Friday, February 12, 2016 at Fellowship Manor in Whitehall. She was born March 12, 1925 in Allentown; daughter of the late, Lewis and Carrie (Peters) Adams. She was the loving wife of 43 years to the late John J. McCarthy, Jr. Lillian was a founding member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, crafts and was especially talented at making ceramics.

Lillian dedicated her life to her family and she will be dearly missed by her four daughters, Kathleen Kelshaw of Bethlehem; Janice Buczui and husband, Michael of Bethlehem; Peg Farkas and husband, Ron of Nazareth; and Phyllis Bender and husband, Thomas of Bethlehem; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters.

Arrangements have been entrusted to The Connell Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18020 with a Mass of Christian Burial to immediately follow. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
