Lillian R. Gaul

Lillian “lil” R. Gaul, 101, of Bethlehem died Friday, November 24, 2017 at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Fountain Hill. Born February 4, 1916 in South Bethlehem she was the daughter of the late Mary (Peter) and Joseph Kerso. Lillian was married to Thomas J. Repsher who passed away in 1966 and later remarried Anthony Gaul who passed away in 1990.

Lillian worked for R K Laros Silk Mill, she later also worked for Schoenens Market in Bethlehem. She was a member of the Former St. Johns Hungarian Catholic Church and recently St. Annes Catholic Church in Bethlehem where she was a member of the Sodality.

Lil always kept active from volunteering with the church and St. Lukes Hospital to traveling and spending time with her friends and family as often as she could.

She will be lovingly remembered by her niece, Dolores Mervan, nephew, Tommy Philippi, great niece, Pat Schaffer and husband Tony, great nephew, Richard Philippi and wife Cami, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Steve and John Kerso and sisters, Helen Koller and Margaret Philippi, and nephew Richard Philippi, Sr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at St. Annes Catholic Church, 450 Washington Ave, Bethlehem, Pa 18017 at 10:30 AM. A calling hour will be held in the church from 9:30-10:30 AM. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

Memorial contributions may be made in Lillians name to St. Annes Catholic Church or to Cedarbrook Fountain Hill Annex, 724 Delaware Ave, Fountain Hill, PA 18015
