Linda Rezende Marques

Linda Rezende Marques, 75, of Bethlehem passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024 at St. Luke's Anderson Campus. She was the wife of Manuel S. Marques. Linda was born in Fountain Hill on September 27, 1949 to the late Arlindo A. and Julia A. (Amaral) Rezende. Linda devoted her life to education, earning a Master's Degree from Lehigh University. She began her teaching career at ManPower before joining Broughal Middle School and retiring from Liberty High School within the Bethlehem Area School District. Her passion for teaching and commitment to her students left a mark on the community, throughout her career. She was one of a small group of teachers who began the school-to-work program in partnership with St. Luke's that continues to this day. In addition to her role as an educator, Linda was an member of Holy Infancy Roman Catholic Church and the Portuguese American Club, Bethlehem. She was loved beyond words and will be missed every day. Always and forever.

Survivors: In addition to her husband of 47 years; daughters: Jacqueline M. (Todd M.) Womelsdorf of Huntingdon Valley, PA, Diana R. (Michael D. Roberson) Marques of Wayne, PA; brother: Albert (Nancy) Rezende of Bethlehem; grandson: Xavi Womelsdorf.

Service: Family and friends are invited to her viewing 9:30-10:30am Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Holy Infancy Roman Catholic Church, 312 East 4th Street, Bethlehem followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am.
