Lisa A. Boligitz

Lisa A. Boligitz, 60, of Bethlehem, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023, surrounded by her loving family at Temple University Hospital.

Born on May 13, 1962, she was the daughter of Joann (Albany) Schaffner and Robert J. Hornak.

Lisa graduated from Freedom High School in 1980. She worked as a Senior Account Manager for TuWay Communications which is where she later retired from. Lisa was a hard worker; she was strong-willed and determined. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Nazareth where she attended faithfully throughout her life. She was also a regular volunteer for their annual Holy Family Festival.

In Lisas spare time she enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, canning, and most of all, traveling. One of her favorite spots was Italy. She loved animals, seeing live music, hosting get togethers, and spending time with family and friends. In more recent years, she also enjoyed knitting and doing arts and crafts.

Lisa will be remembered for her kind heart and generosity; you could always find her with a smile on her face.

She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Amanda J. (Gayle) Boligitz; and her son, Stephen R. (Katrina) Boligitz; her mother, Joann; her sisters, Nicole (Mike) Medei and Patricia (Brian) Hanchick; her brother, Robert (Wendy) Hornak; and her many nieces and nephews.

Lisa is preceded in death by her husband, Stephen M. Boligitz and her father, Robert J. Hornak.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, February 6, 2023, from 10-11:00 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 with a memorial service beginning at 11.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Center for Animal Health and Welfare, 1165 Island Park Rd., Easton, PA 18042.
