Lisette Martinez

In loving memory of Lisette Martinez, 44, a cherished daughter, mother, sibling, and friend, who gracefully passed on March 31, 2024, after courageously battling cancer. Lisette blessed the world with her presence on August 18, 1979, in Bethlehem, PA. Throughout her life, her heart overflowed with a deep love for her family and an unwavering pride in her three beloved daughters, finding joy and comfort in their presence.

Lisette carried within her the rich tapestry of Hispanic heritage. It was in music and poetry that Lisette found her solace, her soul dancing to the rhythm of Spanish melodies, her words weaving intricate rhymes that reflected the beauty she saw in the world. Her spirit was one of strength and resilience, her smile a beacon of light that warmed the hearts of those around her.

Lisette graduated from Liberty High School and attended East Stroudsburg University. She was a healthcare worker by profession, and dedicated herself to caring for others, representing compassion and empathy.

Lisette leaves behind her mother Lourdes Rivera, daughters, Angelys, Adriana, and Stephanie, who will carry forth her legacy, as well as her brothers, Dennis Martinez and Jerry Martinez.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dennis Joseph Martinez.

As we gather to honor Lisette's life, let us celebrate the vibrant soul that she was, the memories she gifted us with, and the love that will forever endure in our hearts.

The funeral ceremony to celebrate Lisette's life will be held 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018. A visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery. This time allows all those who held her dear to come together and pay their respects to a woman whose spirit will forever shine brightly in our memories.

Memorial contributions may be made payable to Angelys Hernandez to be applied towards education funds for Lisette's daughters.
