Loraine A. Walters

Loraine A. Walters, 79, of Bethlehem, died unexpectedly on May 18, 2021. She was born June 23, 1941; daughter of the late Harold J. and Helen (Albin) Ambrose. Loraine is survived by her devoted husband, Barry Walters.

Loraine will be remembered as a loving and caring woman. She loved her family and enjoyed hosting an annual Fourth of July reunion. She had a very special place in her heart for her many dogs over the years. Loraine was a devout catholic. She attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. She enjoyed collecting dolls and Hummel figurines. Loraine was an avid sports fan; she especially enjoyed watching the Iron Pigs, Philadelphia Eagles, and was a 30-year Penn State Football season ticket holder. Loraine and Barry found great peace in traveling. Her favorite place to visit was Maine.

Loraine was an extremely proud graduate of Liberty High School. She began her career as a bank teller and later retired as an executive assistant from Mail-Well, Inc.

Loraine will be dearly missed by her husband, Barry; sisters-in-law, Linda Roth, wife of the late Philip; Dona Hinkel, wife of the late Tom; and Louise Ambrose who is the wife of Loraines brother, the late Harold G. Ambrose; as well as her nephews, Jeffrey Walters and wife, Lynn; John Ambrose and wife, Karen; Dave Ambrose, and fianc, Ronell Martz; Maurice Clark and spouse, Robyn Prytula; and niece, Christy and husband, Shawn Krum; as well as extended family and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home. A visitation will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 9:30-10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. in the church followed by inurnment at Holy Saviour Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Center for Animal Health and Welfare, 1165 Island Park Rd. Easton, PA 18042.
