Loretta Louise Jensen

Loretta Louise Jensen, 99, of Bethlehem, passed away on June 29, 2017 at Moravian Village where she was a long time resident. She was born in Spring Valley Illinois, the daughter of Katie (DuBois) and Joseph P. Bouchez. Loretta was the loving wife of the late Paul A. Jensen.

After receiving her B.A. and Masters degrees in Education from the University of Illinois, where she was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and Kappa Delta Pi, Loretta became an elementary school teacher. Being active in her church was very important to Loretta. Currently she was a member of Wesley Methodist in Bethlehem. She loved to continue to learn by studying history and visiting museums. Traveling, jewelry making, antiquing, sewing and going to the beach were among her favorite things to do. She especially loved being a grandmother and great grandmother.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Katherine Mickel and her husband Lance; grandchildren, Kate Schmidt and her husband Jason and Clint Mickel and his wife Chloe; great grandchildren, Carly Ann and Carter Lance Schmidt and many nieces and nephews. Loretta was preceded in death by her sisters, Henrietta Cinotte and Paulajean Bareham.

Services will be held at a later date.
