Louis E. Lukas, 88, of Bethlehem

died Saturday, March 24, 2007 at Gracedale Nursing Home in Nazareth.

Born June 16, 1918 in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Rose Hussar and John Lukacs. He was married to Gloria Bohn Lukas with whom he celebrated 57 years of marriage on February 18.

Louis was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. He worked at the Bethlehem Steel for 42 years where he retired from in 1981. Louis attended Muhlenberg College. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper during WWII. He was a member of the American Legion. He also loved to cook and was a strong supporter of various charities.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Gloria of Bethlehem and his daughter Sherry Schrammel and her husband Charles of Allentown.

He was preceded in death by his brother Stephen Lukas.

SERVICES

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday March 27, 2007 at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church 416 E. 5th St. Bethlehem, PA 18015 at 10:00 AM.

Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem. Arrangements Connell Funeral Home, Inc.

In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the church.
