Louis G. Ross

Louis G. Ross, 96, of Bethlehem, PA, died Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Holy Family Manor. He was the loving husband of Rose (Salabsky) Ross. They observed their 70th wedding anniversary before her death in 2010.

Louis worked for Bethlehem Steel as a Heater in the 12 to 18” Mill and was later transferred to the shipping yards before retiring after 35 years of service. He was a member of the USWA Local 2598 and a member of the Bethlehem MORA Club. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where he participated in the choir. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, travel, playing cards and spending time with his family.

He will be lovingly remembered by his son, Robert L. Ross and wife, Sally, of Bethlehem; his two daughters, Betty J. Klein and husband, David A., of Bethlehem;

and Carol A. Oravec and husband, Gerald, of Punta Gorda, FL; five grandchildren, Karen Ross of Atlanta, GA, David Ross of Nashville, TN, Lauren Stehly of Allentown, Douglas Oravec of FL and Gregory Oravec of OR and five great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, Pa 18018 from 5-7 PM. A calling hour will be held on Monday, February 9th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 1817 First St., Bethlehem, PA 18020 from 10-11 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
