Louis Harbrecht

Louis Harbrecht, 85 of Bethlehem and formerly of Yardley, PA and Pawley?s Island, SC died Thursday Sept. 27th at his residence. He and his wife M. Jean Thacker Harbrecht would have celebrated their 55th Wedding Anniversary on Oct. 23rd.

Born in Brooklyn, NY he is the son of the late Louis and Edna Begbie Harbrecht.

Mr. Harbrecht worked with Hubbell Wiring Device Kellems, Inc. of Milford, Conn for 37 years retiring in 1987 as a sales manager.

He proudly served with the U.S. Marine Corps during WW II in Okinawa in the Pacific Theatre.

He was a former Elder at the First Presbyterian Church in Levittown, Pa.

He enjoyed golfing and was a member of Yardley Country Club and the Heritage Country Club Pawley?s Island, S.C.

Surviving with his wife Jean are two sons; Louis T. and his wife Margorie of Golden, CO, Kirk and his wife Linda of Bethlehem, Pa., his two daughters; Nancy wife of Quentin Coneen of Goshen, NY, and Margaret wife of Warren Breece of Bethlehem, PA

He is also survived by his brother William, husband of Eileen Harbrecht of Bradenton, FL and his sister Virginia wife of Doug Haight of Hilton Head Island, SC. He has nine grandchildren; Christopher, Melissa, Spencer, Graham, Sam, Meghan, Mathew, Katrin and Mia.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
