Louis Kovacs

Louis "Louie" Kovacs, 95, of Bethlehem passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Cedar Brook-Fountain Hill.

Born October 12, 1916 in Bethlehem he was the son of the late Adam and Sophie Kovacs. He was married to the late Mary R. Majczan Kovacs for 57 years.

Louis was a barber owning his own shop in Bethlehem for 61 years, he was also a past president of the Master Barber Association. He was a member of St. John's Windish Lutheran Church in Bethlehem and the Sertoma Club of Bethlehem. Louis was an avid golfer, golfing till he was 80 years old.

Louis will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Patricia wife of William Dwyer, granddaughters, Colleen wife of Alun Hansen and Meghan wife of David Biko and sister, Helen Mindock. He is also survived by four great grandchildren, Will, Sophie, Ben and Charlie.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Louis's family is inviting those that knew him on Friday, January 13, 2012 to celebrate his life from 6-8 PM at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. Burial will be private.

The family requests no flowers.
