Louis Righi

Louis Righi, 94, of Bethlehem, died on Wednesday, December 4, 2013. He was born in Bethlehem, the son of the late Maria (Savelli) and Attilio Righi.

He was the loving husband to the late Vilma M. (Massie) Righi to whom he was married for 62 years. The Spirit of Christ lived in him openly as shown by his faith through his good works in the church and his love of serving others.

He was a lifelong member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Colesville where he was very active as a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Holy Name Society and a caretaker of the church property. Louis was also a member and speaker at the Cursillo Retreats. He was involved with the church spaghetti dinners for 35 years. Louis also volunteered much of his time with Meals on Wheels and the Se-Wy-Co Carnival.

Louis worked for Dugan and Marcon Construction.

He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army Air Corp.

Louis will be lovingly remembered by his son, Lawrence A. "Larry" Righi of Bethlehem; his two daughters, Mary M., wife of Paul R. Purdy of Warminster; and Rita R., wife of Stephen Hock of Bethlehem; brother Marino Righi of Bethlehem; daughters-in-law, Gail Ambrose and Eileen Fritz; his eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael L. Righi; and brother, Egildo Righi.

A viewing will be held on Monday, December 9, 2013 at Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 4101 Old Bethlehem Pike, Bethlehem, PA 18015 at 10 a.m.

Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

Memorial contributions may be made in Louiss name to St. Michael the

Archangel School, 4121 Old Bethlehem Pike, Bethlehem, PA 18015.
