Louise Dolores Rybak

Louise Dolores Rybak, 89, of Bethlehem, passed peacefully on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at her home. She was born February 2, 1929 in Bethlehem; daughter of the late John and Mary (Kotlick) Golab. Louise was the devoted wife for 48 years, of former State Representative, William C. Rybak, Esq. before his passing in 2004.

Louise, lovingly known to family as “Lulu”, enjoyed sewing, knitting and was a wonderful cook. She had a special gift in caring for her plants. Louise was a longtime member of St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church, where she was active with the Ladies Auxiliary.

Louise was a graduate of Liberty High School and St. Lukes Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a nurse anesthetist at St. Lukes Hospital prior to dedicating her life to her family.

She will be dearly missed by her children, Mary Brophy, wife of Ronald of Allentown; Margaret A. Rybak and Susan J. Rybak both of Bethlehem; Lucy Billetz, wife of John of Hellertown; and Atty. Anthony E. Rybak and his wife Atty. Christy Schlottman; sisters, Anne Skilton, wife of John of Collegeville, PA and Agnes Golab of Bethlehem; six grandchildren and her nieces and nephews. The family is very grateful to the caregiver Nicole Folk, for her dedication in caring for Louise. Louise was preceded in death by her husband; son, John Rybak; and sisters, Jenny, Wanda, and Polly.



A visitation will be held at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 6, 2018. Parastas will be held at 6:00 p.m. Another visitation will be held on Saturday, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Office of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. at St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1826 Kenmore Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18018. Interment will follow at St. Josaphat Cemetery, Hellertown.
