Louise E. Romanell

Louise E. Romanell, 89, of Freemansburg, died peacefully on September 7, 2013. She was born in Bethlehem; daughter of the late Maximin and Anna (Fritz) Hussar. She was the wife of the late Louis J. Romanell who died in April 2012, they were married 59 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Bethlehem and a long-time member of Our Lady of Pompeii of The Most Holy Rosary Church.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Lawrence “Jake” and his wife, Joanne of New Market, MD; daughter, Anita Rutt-Guerriere and her husband, Gordon of Bethlehem; sister, Theresa Hudzina; grandchildren, Angela, Louis, Valerie, Gina and Michael; and great grandchildren, Madeline, Mason and Sheldon.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Maximin II, Robert, Carl and Frederrick “Fritz”; and sisters, Marie Glasner and Anna Hussar.

Visitation will be held in the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem, 18020, on Saturday, September 14 from 10 to 11 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow. Burial will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3893 Adler Place, Bethlehem, PA 18017 and/or St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
