Lucille E. “Lu” Wolfe, 88, of Lansdale, PA passed away surrounded by family on March 2, 2024. Born on May 5, 1935 she was the youngest of six children born to Bertha and Alexander Chladny in Fountain Hill, PA.
Lu graduated from Fountain Hill High School before beginning her career at Bethlehem Steel. She later she found her true calling of motherhood, raising 4 children in Oreland, PA.
Lu had many passions, but children and animals topped the list, taking the former everywhere she went. As her children grew, she went back into the workforce at her beloved Strawbridge & Clothier in Plymouth Meeting, PA. She loved working with people and that translated into her success as a salesperson in Better Sportswear.
Lu’s personality and quick wit made her instantly likeable, and people were drawn to her. She loved to travel, and her favorite spots were Lake Tahoe, NV, Atlantic City, NJ and “anywhere there was snow”. Though above all else, she loved spending time with her family, especially her 2 grandchildren. You could always spot her in the stands, on the sidelines or on the kiddie rides supporting them.
Lu is survived by her husband, Barry and her four children: Terry Wolfe (Steve), Lori Radatti {Mike), Patti Catanzaro (Jay) and David Wolfe (Alyse), as well as her beloved grandchildren Ryan and Allyson and numerous “furry grands” as she called them.
All of those she loved and touched deeply, please join us in celebrating her life Saturday, March 23, 2024, between 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Historic Hotel Bethlehem, 437 Main Street, Bethlehem, PA.
