Lucky Harold G. Yaple

Lucky Harold G. Yaple, 68, of Bethlehem, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospital Foutain Hill. He was the loving husband of Sue-Ellen (Rogers) Yaple for 35 years.

Born on March 8, 1956, in Newton, NJ, he was the son of the late Harold and Caroline (Rounsaville) Yaple.

Lucky earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Lafayette College and while at college he was a member of Kappa Delta Rho Fraternity. He was also a member of Rho Chapter Board of Governors for 43+ years and Rho Chapter Alumni Treasurer for 32+ years.

Lucky was employed by Bethlehem Steel from 1978-1981. Following the Bethlehem Steel, he went on to work for Minerals Technologies/Specialty Minerals from 1981 until retiring in 2017.

Lucky will be dearly missed by his wife, Sue-Ellen; daughter, Rebecca A. Yaple, of Virginia Beach, VA; son, Matthew L. Yaple and his wife, Stephanie, of Harrogate, UK; grandson, Theodore Yaple, of Harrogate, UK; two brothers, George Yaple and his wife, Virginia, and Lester Yaple and his wife, Susan; and one sister, Robin Colwell and her husband, Thomas.

In addition to his parents, Lucky is preceded in death by his sister, Linda Maines.

Family and friends are invited to his calling hours on Friday, October 11, 2024 from 10-11 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 with a memorial service beginning at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
