Lucy DiCampli, 100, passed away on Wednesday January 30, 2019 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg Campus. She was born on March 29, 1918 in Roseto, PA, the daughter of the late Donato and Grace (DeFranco) Ruggiero. She was the wife of the late Stephen DiCampli. Lucy was a seamstress for the former Debbie Sue Co. in South Bethlehem for 30 years, retiring in 1985. She was a former member of Our Lady of Pompeii of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Bethlehem. She was a member of the Mother of Sorrows Sodality and the I.L.G.W.U. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was affectionately known as “Big”.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Marlene Malloy and husband Charles, and Rosemarie Russo and husband Salvatore, grandchildren, Karen Moffat and husband James, Michael Russo and Stephen Russo, six great grandchildren, and granddaughter in law, Beth Malloy. She was predeceased by grandson, Glenn Malloy and four siblings.
A viewing will be held Monday February 4, 2019 from 9:30-10:30am at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 11am at Holy Ghost Catholic Church 417 Carlton Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18015. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethlehem.
