Lucy I. Palos

December 9, 1927 — March 29, 2010

Lucy I. Palos, 82, of Bethlehem, was peacefully received into the hands of our Lord on Monday, March 29, 2010 surrounded by her family.

She was born on December 9, 1927 in Bethlehem; the daughter of the late Vincent and Louisa Mutarelli Facchiano.

Lucy was preceded in death by her husband E.R. "Buddy" Palos.

She retired as the Head Teller from Wilbur Savings and Loan and later enjoyed working at the Thomas Jefferson Elementary School cafeteria where the children affectionately called Lucy, "Grammy".

Lucy was an active parishioner of the former Our Lady of Pompeii of the Most Holy Rosary where she was a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality and later became a parishioner of St. Anne's Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Michael V. Palos and his wife Phyllis; Mary Louise Hutchinson and her husband Patrick and Deborah Ruthrauff and her husband Clark, all of Bethlehem. Lucy is also survived by her six grandchildren, Tammy, Jason, Michael, J. Ryan, Ryan and Daniel; three great grandchildren, Olivia, Jackson, Jace Michael and her brothers Vincent and Nicholas Facchiano both of Bethlehem.

Lucy was also predeceased by her sister Mary Paden and her brothers, Daniel and Anthony Facchiano.

Lucy was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Jefferson Democratic Club where she enjoyed playing Bingo, but she will be especially remembered for dedicating her life to her family.

Visitation Monday, April 5, 2010 from 6-8 PM at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem and again on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 from 10:30-11:30 AM at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 12 noon at St. Anne's Catholic Church 450 Washington Ave. Bethlehem PA 18017

Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
