Luella C. Flickinger

Luella C. Flickinger, 96, of Bethlehem died Saturday May 29, 2010 at Moravian Village in Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late George Flickinger Sr. She was the daughter of the late Edward A. and Josephine Vogt Charlesworth.

Luella worked in the advertising dept. for the Bethlehem Globe Times. She was the secretary to the Dean of Students at Lehigh University from 1962 to 1976 at which time she retired. She was a charter member of St. Anne's Catholic Church and the Sodality. Luella graduated from Liberty High School Class of 1931.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Joan wife of James D. Roberts of Slatington, son, George Flickinger Jr. of Bethlehem, grandchildren, Kathleen wife of Alex Nussbaum of Boonton Twp, N.J., Christine wife of Clifford Valentine of Dunmore, James G. Roberts and wife Catherine of Lansdale, and Michelle wife of Andrew Rampulla of Harleysville, great grandchildren, Noah James Nussbaum, Ella Marie Valentine, Elizabeth Ann, Sara Marie, and James Francis Roberts, Gabrielle Marie and Matthew James Rampulla.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Quinten, and Joseph, and sisters, Edna Hatch, Elva Hoover, Kathryn Miller, Mary, Irene, and Mildred.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11AM Wednesday June 2, 2010 at St. Anne's Catholic Church 450 Washington Ave. Bethlehem, Pa. 18017. Calling hours from 10-11Am in the church. Burial at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
