Luis E. Rivera Ocasio

Luis Enrique Rivera Ocasio, 20, of Bethlehem, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospital. Born in Manati, Puerto Rico he was the son of Elaine M. Ocasio Vega and Edgardo Javier Rivera Sastre. He was also the biological son of Luis Angel Rivera, Jr.

After graduating high school Luis went on to college at Penn State where he was studying to become a software engineer. While in college he worked as a sous chef at Rakkii Ramen. He left Rakii Ramen and worked for FedEx and later became a manager for Takkii Ramen in Quakertown.

Luis will be lovingly remembered by his parents, brothers, Edgardo Y. Rivera Ocasio, Luis G. Rivera Almestica, and Joseph A. Rivera Almestica, sister, Jathlaine M. Rivera Ocasio, maternal grandparents, Luis Rivera Rivera and Iris Vega and Paternal grandparents, Yolanda Gonzalez and Luis Rivera Oquendo, and his best friend and girlfriend, Valentina Palacio. He will also be remembered by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A viewing will be held on Friday, December 1st, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018. Another viewing will be held on Saturday from 9-11 AM followed by a funeral service at 11 AM.
