Luis Ortiz Jr.

Luis Ortiz Jr., 61, of Bethlehem, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024, at Hershey Medical Center.

Born on July 30, 1962, in Naranjito, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Luis Ortiz Saez and Maria Elena Ortiz Quinones.

Luis worked at Koch 33 Toyota for over 30 years. Luis had a pure soul—he was a tremendous father, extremely caring and would take the shirt off his back for anyone. He enjoyed listening to loud music, going to the junkyard, and working on cars. Luis loved his family dearly and will be missed by all who loved and adored him.

He will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Maria; daughter, Krystle L. Ortiz; son, Luis Ortiz III; brothers, Luis A. Ortiz, Antonio Ortiz, Jorge Ortiz, Reynaldo Ortiz, and Hector Ortiz; sisters, Jasmin Ortiz, Sonia Ortiz, Carmen Ortiz, and Sandra Ortiz Perez; and many nieces and nephews.

Luis is preceded in death by his father, Luis, and niece, Tanya Rosado.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, from 6-8:00 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018. Another viewing will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 10-10:45 a.m. at Incarnation of Our Lord Parish, 617 Pierce St., Bethlehem, PA 18015 with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11 a.m. in the church. Interment will immediately follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
