Luz Maria Morales

Luz "Lula" Maria Morales, 72, of Bethlehem, died Friday June 10, 2011 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 15, 1938 in Humacao, Puerto Rico daughter of the late Trinidad and Hemenejilda Gonzales Huertas. She was the wife of Pablo Morales. They were married for 20 years this past November.

Lula was a member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church , Sacred Heart of Mary, Legions of Mary and was also a Eucharistic Minister. Lula was very devoted to her family and her faith. She enjoyed going to the casino and playing bingo.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, sons, Eladio Fuentes Jr. and wife Nilda of Bethlehem, and Jaime Fuentes and wife Lisa of Georgia, daughters, Margarita Heffelfinger wife of Chad of Northampton, Rosa Pastor wife of William and Hilda Fuentes both of Bethlehem, step-sons, Paul Morales and wife Vicky of Bethlehem, and Mark E. Morales of Allentown, step-daughter, Elva Fontanez of Bethlehem, 3 brothers, 4 sisters, 11 grandchildren, 10 step- grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 2 step-great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, Jorge Fuentes, daughter, Iris Fuentes, and a brother Basilio Huertas.

A prayer service will be held 9:15AM on Wednesday June 15, 2011 at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 10AM at Holy Infancy Catholic Church 312 E. 4th St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18015 A viewing will held Tuesday evening from 6-9PM and also Wednesday morning from 8:15-9:15AM at the funeral home.
