Lynn J. Jones

Lynn J. Jones, 71, died on Saturday, February 7, 2015 with her family by her side. She was born in New York City; daughter of the late Peter W. and Lillian (Maier) Maslanka. She was married to the late PA State Trooper George A. Jones, Jr. who passed in 1995.

Lynn was raised in Newark, Delaware and attended Newark High School. She graduated from Hazleton High School in 1961 and attended Wilkes College. Lynn retired as fiscal assistant from White Haven Center in 1990. Lynn moved to Bethlehem in 2000 to be closer to her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking holiday dinners, making cookies and brownies for her grandchildren, crossword puzzles, traveling, playing solitaire and all things Disney.

She will be dearly missed by her son, Robert Sacco and his wife, Donna of Bethlehem; and three grandchildren, Danielle Sacco-Swiss and her husband Matt of Randolph, NJ; Mitchell and Douglas Sacco at home. She also leaves behind her beloved cat, Maggie.

Friends of Lynn are invited to call on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. immediately followed by a service at 8 P.M. at The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 3893 Adler Place, suite 170 Bethlehem, PA 18017.
