Madelyn Schadle

August 8, 1915 — April 15, 2008

Madelyn C. Schadle, 92, of Bethlehem died on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at Westminster Village.

She was born in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late George E. and Nellie Falvey Long.

Madelyn was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Schadle in 1973.

She was a graduate of Fountain Hill High School. Madelyn worked in the Rigger Office of the Bethlehem Steel Co. and later she worked as an Office Manager for Altemose Fuel.

She was a very active member of Notre Dame Catholic Church, Bethlehem where she was a member of various women's organizations. Madelyn was also a member of St. Nicholas Church, Walnutport.

Madelyn was a dedicated volunteer at Kids Peace and American Red Cross.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Gerry wife of the late Briginal E. Haines of Bethlehem, two grandchildren, David Haines and wife Stephanie and Vanessa Paskaitis and husband Derek; as well as two great grandchildren, David Jr. and Danielle Haines.

Madelyn was preceded in death by her sisters Helen Kuehner and Margaret Feigh.

Arrangements have been made with the guidance of Connell Funeral Home, Inc. Bethlehem

A graveside service to celebrate Madelyn's life will be held on Monday April 21, 2008 at 10AM at Holy Saviour Cemetery, 2575 Linden St. Bethlehem with Fr. Edward McElduff officiating. Those wishing to attend may meet at the entrance to the cemetery.
